Favorite Layouts of 2011 and a New Header

Hi everyone!  Soooo whatcha think?? Like the new 2012 header?  I thought since 2011 was blues I'd do a super girly pink one for 2012.  Having only one boy and not being too girly myself I never get an excuse to use cute pink papers enough.  And i've been wanting to make a bunch of pin wheels as well so this is the result :)  Hope you like it, you'll be stuck looking at it until 2013 haha! It's a little soft because Blogger is compressing it funny but Robb is gonna fix that for me soon, so it will look slightly nicer :)

I thought it would be a good time to show you my top ten layouts of 2011 as well.  Some of my favorites are out for publication so I can't show them yet but these are the ones that I can!  I'd love to see your top ten too, shoot me a link :)

Happy Christmas Eve!

Hello hello!  Happy Christmas Eve to all of my followers! (or Happy Holidays to whoever celebrates something different!)  I am here to share some very exciting news-  I am now part of the Precocious Paper Design Team :D  I'm thrilled, her products are super cute and I can't wait to work with them (especially those yummy samplers!).  Make sure you check out the Etsy shop and pick up some goodies with all of your Christmas gift certificates.  Here's a layout I made with her sewing pattern flowers- I thought they were the perfect shade for a beach layout. I also like that they're not super girly flowers so they work with layouts of my son.  I also used some Viva Decor Glass Effects on this layout to make little water droplets, I love the feel it brings!

And one last layout I made last week using some scraps and hand cut hearts.

I hope you enjoy the projects and have a fantastic holiday!!

Burlap and Buttercups December Kit Projects

Hi hi everyone!  Here are the projects I created with the lovely Burlap and Buttercups December kit!  Make sure you go snag yourself one too :)

Christmas Star Wreath:  I thought the deep olive and maroon colors would make a very elegant wreath.  I added a few vintage buttons that were given to me by my Mother In Law which add the *perfect* touch :)

Here's a layout to go along with Mary Pat's awesome sketch challenge!

A fun Xmas layout from one of last year's family photographs (omg charlie was so little!)

And a few super simple cards that I really love (sometimes simple is just right)

Hope you guys have been having fun getting ready for the holidays!  I'm not doing a December daily this year but would love to hear about and see yours!

My Very Last TPV Post

Hi everyone!  It's the last DT challenge over at TPV and the theme is Anything Goes!  Easy peasy huh?  So here's a layout I made recently after I saw an adorable sketch on the October Afternoon blog.  I love the banner and all the little details tucked away in it :)  Hope you enjoy and THANK YOU TPV for the great time being on your Design Team (they're having another DT call so make sure you head over and check it out!)

Hi everyone!!  Finally got a photo session in with the hubs tonight so I have some finished projects to share with more on the way :)

Also I made a page for my Scrapbook Resume.  If anyone feels so inclined you can get there by looking for a link to the right of the post or just go here

Here's a layout I made of my cousin and her husband on their wedding day.  Don't they look like models?  So cute!

And a layout about Charlie's ever expanding vocabulary.  He can say about 12 words now, and ofcourse not one of them is Momma!  hmph!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Paper Variety Ornament Challenge

Hello!  Here to share a Christmas themed project (already??) that I used for The Paper Variety's Challenge this week- which is to use an ornament on your project!

Also, I wanted to share with you all that the Paper Variety is having an open call for their new Design Team: see the post here.  I've had a great time working with them so you should definitely apply!

If you follow along with the challenge you have a chance to win a prize from Precocious Paper.  Coincidentally enough I just put an order in at PP a few weeks ago because the Autumn Sampler was catching my eye!  Her stuff is super cute and I really enjoy working with it--it's an awesome prize so make sure you play along and get in the Christmas spirit with us :)

Winter Publications!

Hello hello everyone!  I just got a package in the mail and it was so exciting!  I've got lots of publications coming up starting this winter/spring and I finally got my first ever hard copy of a magazine in the mail :)  Plus the extra goodies that come along with it!  It was Scrapbook and Cards today which is edited by my all time favorite (and PageMaps creator) Becky Fleck.

So make sure you check out Scrapbook and Cards Today (Free Online see pg 54), Cricut Magazine, Create: Idea Books (Mini Albums) and Creating Keepsakes for the month of December because I will be in all four (talk about lucky!).

Do you guys have any fun and exciting scrappy news to share??? I'd love to hear about it!!

"My Family" Mini Album

Hello Hello!  Hope everyone has been having a nice break :)  I have had 4 whole days off and finally had some time to get a lot of scrapping done- woot!

I'm taking a class over at NoelMignon called Mini Madness, it's really awesome!  I learned how to make all sorts of mini albums, including binding my own!  So I made this mini album entirely from scratch which I think is pretty neat.  It's pretty chunky so I try and keep it somewhat flat by wrapping the front in twine, which I think looks pretty sweet anyways.

I used's kit Hudson Valley, a bit of Crate Paper Farmhouse extras from my stash, and some Precocious Paper flowers/ribbon/etc from the Autumn Sampler.  I hope you like it!
