Lots of New Projects

Hi guys! Here are a bunch of projects I've been working on recently but haven't gotten a chance to post until now, hope you enjoy :)

These are all LOs from this Thanksgiving- I made them using Noel Mignon's kit "Dear Diary" and my stash

I really, really, really hate this next LO....I rushed through it and it totally shows....

(my dad has decided he doesn't want to be called Grandpa, he wants to be called Mr. MacDonald haha)

(I call my mom Peggy and I have an Aunt Peggy too, so Peggy x2!)

These next ones are some more LO's I made using Crate Paper's Brook line.

And some more of Charlie (getting sick of him yet?  I have a million baby pictures to scrap!  it's neverending!)

I used my Sesame Street Font cartridge for the characters and A Child's Year for the text

I used the Very Virginia kit by Noel Mignon for this one

AAAAAND last but not least, a card I made!  I made a grungepaper rose following Tim Holtz's tutorial on his website :)  Enjoy!

Crate Paper "Brook" Layouts

Hi everybody!  I actually have a tutorial for you (finally, right?) today!  I made this LO of my husband using Crate Paper's Brook line which is soo gorgeous.  It's great for more masculine layouts I think too.  Enjoy!

The first thing I did was pick the pages I wanted to use. I chose a lot of the blue pages to go with the blue shirt Robb is wearing in the photo.

Then I picked out my sketch, by Becky Fleck in Page Maps 2

Then I started assembling.  I chose a khaki color border for the LO.  Ive found that a thin border around a LO can really add a LOT to the final product.

and I used my new deep MS Punch along one edge (don't you just LOVE that punch?? I do!)

And then I trimmed the background sheet of paper...

Before I continued I inked all of my pieces (and added a punch to the top of the deep blue piece as well) to give some contrast between all the similar colors.  Doesn't it make a big difference?

Following the sketch I turned up the bottom right corner...

Then I added my matted photo of my hubby (ain't he cute?)

And I added an adhesive border that came with the paper pack

I then cut out a small journaling block, matted it in green, and used "Journaling Jots" by CTMH to add some journaling lines

I used a circle included in the pack to add some embellishment to the top (inked of course!)

Then adhered the journaling block to my LO

Then added another coordinating flower and a button (with a small twine bow)

I cut two squares and matted them in brown in stead of using two pictures as shown in the sketch.

I used my Gypsy to cut out two hearts from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge then inked and adhered them to the squares

I added those to the LO along with some buttons (with twine bows again) and my title "love" (letter stickers are Basic Grey)

and I added a small punch out flower to the corner for some embellishment

And added some brads to the punch to give it some definition

And last but not least I added some hearts to the journaling block and actually journaled :)

Here's the final product!  Hope you enjoy :)

New Winner and a few LOs

Hi everybody!! As I mentioned before, if you won my giveaway and hadn't contacted me by Monday I would redraw a winner.  WEEEELLLL I'm redrawing one winner because I've only heard back from one person.  So if you entered my "Want Some Free Stuff" Giveaway you could still win! I used Random.org again to pick #20.  So the NEW 2nd winner is:

How sweet of you to do this. I have a couple friends who would love me to share with them. Thanks for the chance to win.

Congrats Diana!  Please email me at GlueMeetsPaper@gmail.com with your address (You have until next Tuesday, one week!) and I'll get your goodies sent out to you right away!  Well, as soon as I can at least....we've got about 2 feet of snow my husband is working on shoveling out of our driveway right now :)
I also wanted to show you guys some layouts I made using Noel Mignon's kit "Dear Diary". I recently discovered Noel Mignon and i LOVE her kits. I have never, ever bought a kit before I bought one of these....I always figured, why would I buy a kit? I like coming up with my OWN ideas, not someone else's, so why would I buy a premade kit? But this is totally different! It's just a fantastic package of awesome coordinating cardstock and embellishments, they are just so much fun to play with!

Anyways enough of that haha. I made this layout about a pig shaped gravy boat we used this past Thanksgiving. My dad thought it was hilarious that when you poured the gravy it came out of the pigs mouth so I titled the layout "The Puking Pig" :P

And here are a couple other LOs I made using the kit! TFL :)

New Header and New Layouts!

Wellllllllllllll....whaddya think??? The new header?  You like?  I love it!  My wonderful hubby helped me with the photography and website-y stuff :) I made it using Noel Mignon's kit, Very Virginia!

I also wanted to remind everyone to check below for the WINNERS of my giveaway :) You have until Monday to email me (GlueMeetsPaper@gmail.com) your address before I pull new winners instead, so hurry up :)

Here are two layouts I've been working on recently

This is Charlie at 4wks, he goes from super smiley and cute to ridiculously upset within about 10 seconds so I thought I'd make a layout showcasing that hehe.

This one is about this super ugly orange chair we have.  My husband works at a furniture store and they removed this chair from someone's house (when they went to drop off a new piece) and were going to trash it (imagine that....) until my husband snagged it up.  He came home with it sticking out of the trunk of his car one day and I've been stuck with it ever since.  It's mismatches all our furniture and I just hate the thing but the dogs LOVE it, they sit on it every day and keep guard in front of the window haha.

Hope you enjoy!  Have a great weekend, and if you're in CT I hope you get a snow day tomorrow :D

Winners!

Yikes!! I'm so glad everyone liked my newest card so much! Very cool, thanks! :)  I was always planning on doing a give away once I got to 100 followers, so looks like I'm going to be doing another one pretty soon!  I didn't expect to get to 100 quite yet so it looks like I'll be doing back to back giveaways, woo hoo!  SO if you didn't win this one you could win the next one still.  I don't have anything to give away yet, what do you guys want? A specific cartridge, paper pack, tool, etc?  Let me know and maybe i'll get it ;)

ANYWAYS onto the winners! I decided to split all the stuff between two winners instead of one since I had so much interest in the giveaway.  I used Random.org to pick the 2 winners from my "Want some free stuff" post.  It came up with #1 and #24 - who are:

How sweet of you to do this! And I love the idea of giving away what the winner does not want. Kind of a pay it forward type of thing. Count me in! As if I don't have enough extra scrap stuff. Hmmm, maybe I should give some of mine away! Oh or a trade! How fun would that be?!?!

Alright, lastly here's a project I made for the My Pink Stamper Challenge (http://www.mypinkstamper.com/), she's looking for 2 new members for her design team.  It was ROUGH, we had to design with pink, green, and brown....which I NEVER use.....I'm not much of a pink girl to be honest.  Anyways, this is what I came up with- gotta love pink elephants :P  The cartridges I used were Pooh and Friends, Gypsy Wanderings, and Carousel.  Hope you enjoy and remember to check back tomorrow to see if you've won some loot!
