Who says pink is for girls?

Well fellow scrappers... I am sick of it!  I am sick of having super cute and adorable girly pink scrapbook pages and hardly ever having a chance to use them!

That ends now!  Little boy be damned, I'm using pink anyways!

:)

This is a layout I made for the Paper Variety Challenge, which is to use more than one type of alpha on a layout.  Easy peasy for me coz I tend to do that all the time so I challenged myself to use three instead.  I also used the Noel Mignon kit Mary Ellen for this layout....I'm figuring the pink girly stuff is okay coz I'm in the photo too ;)

ALSO to those who haven't seen yet I was featured again on the Crate Paper blog!  They chose my "Our Bench" layout as the winner of the Love Story category and I'm super thrilled....plus (bonus!) I get a $50 gift card to Crate and Barrel-- woooo hoooo!

Well it occured to me I haven't shown a recent photo of Mr. Charlie here for quite some time so I thought I'd share just in time for Father's Day.  Here he is at 9 months, ain't he a cutie?

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Wedding Week Challenge Scrapbook Layouts

Hi everybody!  Here are some layouts i made for the Crate Paper Wedding Week Challenge.  I hope you like them :)

"Scrap Your Love Story"
Journaling Reads:
"Robb knew I loved playing on the beach in Old Saybrook, CT as a kid, so one day, August 2007, as we were sitting on a bench at the very same beach Robb got down on one knee and proposed marriage. I, of course, said YES! Two years later we sat on the same bench as a married couple. August 2010 we sat on this bench together while I was 9 1/2 months pregnant. This summer, 2011, we sit on this bench together with our beautiful son, Charlie. This bench is, oddly enough, very dear to me - as are you, Robb."

"Scrap Your Day"
this page is about the beautiful floral arrangements my mother made for our wedding

And one last layout I made using the Mary Ellen kit from NoelMignon.com.  I dunno, i don't love this layout but here it is anyways....at least the model is a cutie :P

Charlie!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well :)  I took a day off of work today to bring Mr. Charlie to his bi monthly Cystic Fibrosis Clinic visit at the wonderful CT Children's Medical Center (they rock!)- and I was thrilled to hear that Charlie is doing great!!  Woo hoo- thought I'd share the good news :)  While he's not in the 50th percentile like they want (he's so darn long is keeps throwing off his weight to length ratio!) he's getting there and the doctors seemed very happy with his progress.  After the doctors visit I met Peggy (my mom) and we went and got some INCREDIBLE polish food in Hartford at the Polish House and it was to DIE for.  yum!  Then I spent the afternoon walking around in West Hartford and shopping and sipping on a smoothie- much fun!  Charlie and I also made Daddy something fun for Father's Day while we were there but I won't say what ;)

By the time we got home we were both beat and sweaty (95C today!).  Anyways I figured today would be a good day to share a CF related layout I have of Charlie.  We weren't sure what we wanted to do with these pictures showing the first time Charlie used his nebulizer, so I figured I'd scrap em :)

This layout is made with the Portrait line by (you guessed it) Crate Paper.  I'm working on a layout to submit for their Wedding Week Challenge right now so hopefully I'll show you that soon as well.

How is everyone else's week going?
