Paper Variety Ornament Challenge

Hello!  Here to share a Christmas themed project (already??) that I used for The Paper Variety's Challenge this week- which is to use an ornament on your project!

Also, I wanted to share with you all that the Paper Variety is having an open call for their new Design Team: see the post here.  I've had a great time working with them so you should definitely apply!

If you follow along with the challenge you have a chance to win a prize from Precocious Paper.  Coincidentally enough I just put an order in at PP a few weeks ago because the Autumn Sampler was catching my eye!  Her stuff is super cute and I really enjoy working with it--it's an awesome prize so make sure you play along and get in the Christmas spirit with us :)

Winter Publications!

Hello hello everyone!  I just got a package in the mail and it was so exciting!  I've got lots of publications coming up starting this winter/spring and I finally got my first ever hard copy of a magazine in the mail :)  Plus the extra goodies that come along with it!  It was Scrapbook and Cards today which is edited by my all time favorite (and PageMaps creator) Becky Fleck.

So make sure you check out Scrapbook and Cards Today (Free Online see pg 54), Cricut Magazine, Create: Idea Books (Mini Albums) and Creating Keepsakes for the month of December because I will be in all four (talk about lucky!).

Do you guys have any fun and exciting scrappy news to share??? I'd love to hear about it!!

"My Family" Mini Album

Hello Hello!  Hope everyone has been having a nice break :)  I have had 4 whole days off and finally had some time to get a lot of scrapping done- woot!

I'm taking a class over at NoelMignon called Mini Madness, it's really awesome!  I learned how to make all sorts of mini albums, including binding my own!  So I made this mini album entirely from scratch which I think is pretty neat.  It's pretty chunky so I try and keep it somewhat flat by wrapping the front in twine, which I think looks pretty sweet anyways.

I used NoelMignon.com's kit Hudson Valley, a bit of Crate Paper Farmhouse extras from my stash, and some Precocious Paper flowers/ribbon/etc from the Autumn Sampler.  I hope you like it!

Giveaway!!

Wahoo, giveaway time!

I gotta clear out some room for lots of cute Halloween and Christmas stuff so I'm cleaning house :)  and I have an AWESOME christmas package to offer to one of my followers!

Here's what I want you to do for ME to win haha.  I noticed lately that I NEVER use red in my scrapbooking (accents, yes....red themed pages or patterned paper, rarely).  So I want you to link me up to a fabulous red scrappy type project to get my mojo going.  Doesn't have to be yours but it does have to be awesome.  Sound good?

Here's what's up for grabs......90% of the (sold out!) Bedford Falls kit by Noel Mignon.com!  I loved this kit so much I bought two :)  It's missing maybe 2 or 3 things but for the most part it is all there and unopened.  To make up for the fact it's not 100% complete I'm going to throw in a few fun Halloween goodies as well.

Pretty awesome huh?  Noel's kits are *jam packed* with tons of paper and accessories- check out the kit contents here

SOOO if you want to win just leave me a comment linking up to an awesome red themed layout/card/mini album/whatever.  Good luck, I'll draw a winner in ONE WEEK.  Make sure you check back in ONE WEEK to see if you've won (I will not track you down to tell you that you've won).

Have an awesome weekend!

Yellow and Gray Color Combo

Hello!  Back again (lots of posts this week huh?) to share with you the Challenge that I'm hosting at the Burlap and Buttercups blog!  I challenge you all to use a yellow and gray color scheme in your paper project.  If you post your project up on B&B's blog you'll be entered to win a $15 GC....which you most definitely want because her kits are perfection.

Anyways, here is my take.  These are photo's of the first time we ever gave Charlie a nebulizer treatment, way back when.  Now he gets them all the time (at least 2x/day) so they're old hat :).  Since Nebulizer Treatment is a mouthful we just call it his "nebs" (thus the title).  In case you're a new follower: Charlie has Cystic Fibrosis, which means he produces lots of thick sticky mucus.  It clogs up his lungs and digestive system so he has a hard time breathing, gaining weight, and just staying healthy in general.

Hope you like it, make sure you play along!!

Thankful Layout

Hello Hello everyone!  Here's a layout I made using Burlap and Buttercups November kit (gooooorgeous!) for The Paper Variety's weekly challenge.  This week is to use the word Thanks or Thankful, so I chose these super sweet pics of Charlie, he's so adorable and good natured so I am definitely thankful for THAT!

Head to TPV to play along and get a chance to win a prize from My Creative Time Stamps

Some New Layouts

Hi everyone!  Here are the layouts I made with this month's kit from Burlap and Buttercups :)  I had such a great time playing- the colors in this kit were so "me"....yummy yummy!

Anyways here are a few layouts I made with this kit-- you'll be seeing more as the week progresses, I hope you like them!

Can I just say how much I LOVE the Pink Paislee Wood Shop line?  Those letters were so much fun to change up depending on the layout.  LOVE.

Please note the devil horns I gave Mr. Charlie in this layout hehehe,
 they are well deserved!

And this one for this month's Sketch Challenge by Mary Pat

Also my photographer (*cough*husband) wanted me to point out how perfect the lighting came out on these photos (I think his exact words were "oh yeah, that's smooth...real smooooooooooth" haha).  I of course agree :)

Scraplift!

Hi everyone,

Here's a layout I scraplifted for the latest Scrapbook Trends Open Call, i LOVE how it came out. It's scraplifting Jen Jockish's layout in the Sept 2011 issue of ST (btw, Jen Jockish pages = love)

Hope you like it :)  I dig this creepy b+w picture of Charlie infront of a mansion. It's a mix between the adams family and eddie munster haha

Anyways I've been very busy lately so be sure to check back all week coz I'll have layouts galore to share :)

Burlap and Buttercups November Kit

Hello everyone!  No project to share today (I will have some soon!!) but I wanted to let you all know that the November Burlap and Buttercups kit is for sale :)  It is GORGEOUS, lots of that yellow/gray color combo that is totally "in" right now.  I'm having a blast playing with it (and I will share my layouts soon)!

Oh my, isn't it gorgeous?   I especially have been loving the doilie's included, so fun to try different things on my layouts! And of course you must check out the add on kit too

I love everything in the add on kit (I've been using that spray mist with the wood letters a lot!)...the whole kit and caboodle is fab so make sure you snatch yours up because they're almost out of stock!

In other news we took charlie out on a fun filled busy morning at an apple cider mill and pumpkin patch and now he's so worked up he won't take a nap (so much for scrapping time!) but it super cranky instead.  Gah!  Anyways, hope everyone else is having a great weekend!

So Ridiculous

Hi!  Here's my project for TPVs challenge this week: make a project with a sense of humor!

I thought these silly pictures of Charlie were just the ticket.  Whenever he's in his stroller her reclines back and props his leg up on the tray.  It is totally wierd and funny and ridiculous :)

Make sure you head over to TPV to win a prize from the Paper Bakery!!
